Over 150 years ago the Industrial Revolution enabled the western world to explode into the modern era. Today, technology and computers are beginning to create a similar situation. It is no longer sufficient to assume that computers are simply big calculators or the internet is a place for shopping and funny cat videos; we are irreversibly on a path toward another major revolution. As educators we have a duty now, today, to begin shaping a society and a people (i.e. our students) who are prepared for that inevitable future. Here, in this wikispace, we are going to explore exactly the what's, how's, and why's behind this statement.
